Wine Cruise Mirabelle
Day 1 – Sunday – Castets-en-Dorthe:
We welcome you to Bordeaux at the Saint-Jean station and take you by bus to the boat, which is waiting for you on the Canal des Deux Mers. After a welcome cocktail, we will serve your first dinner. A taste of the delicious cuisine that awaits you during your trip. After dinner, you may want to take a walk.
Day 2 – Monday – Loupiac:
On the way to Cadillac, you will experience a beautiful landscape to the right and left of the Garonne. Visit the castle of Roquetaillade, a defense center, which is owned by the same family since 1306! In the wine region of Sauternes, you can see the famous Châteaux d’Yquem, Rieussec, Haut Peyraguey and many others, including Château Guiraud or Malle. Wine tastings await you here.
Day 3- Tuesday – Bordeaux:
Your ship is right in front of the “Port of the Moon” with its magnificent facades from the eighteenth century; You will see the Pont de Pierre, the Place de la Bourse and the Quai des Chartrons. The historic Bordeaux is a UNESCO World Heritage site with a range of architectural jewels. Numerous monuments and hidden places await you: the royal entrance of the town (La Porte Cailhau), the Pey Berlan tower, the D’Or Triangle, the column of the Girondins, the mirror of the water, the basilica of Saint-Michel. The Capuchin market invites to a tasting of oysters and white wine. Bordeaux offers wonderful shopping and dining experiences.
Day 4 – Wednesday – Blaye:
After an intermediate stop with a wine tasting on the island of Margaux, you will enjoy moments of relaxation provided by the journey to the Gironde mouth. Discover the amazing citadel of Blaye, a fortress of the Vauban century and declared a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The famous castle Marquis de Vauban welcomes you to taste the popular wine in Côtes de Blaye.
Day 5 – Thursday – Medoc – Bourg:
You cross the river mouth to explore the Médoc: world famous vineyards and castles are located here: Lafite, Mouton-Rothschild, Pontet-Canet, Latour, Pichon, Listrac, Margaux, Maucaillou, Poujeaux, Rauzan Ségla, Palmer, Issan, Kirwan ... One of the Grands Crus such as Château Lamothe Bergeron or Prieuré Lichine open their doors for you to a tasting visit. Later, you may want to enjoy a snack at the Chocolaterie Mademoiselle de Margaux. During today’s dinner, we will sail to Bourg, a historic town on rocky grounds.
Day 6 – Friday – Libourne:
We continue on the Dordogne to the Libourne Pier and its exciting weekly market. We take a trip to Saint-Emilion, also declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. The wine is as old as the monolithic church, which was carved into stone during the 18th century. You can visit a winery and enjoy a vintage bottle of Grand Cru. Your tour continues with the most famous wineries of Saint-Émilion and Pomerol: Angelus, Beauséjour, Ausone, Cheval Blanc, Dominica, Trottevieille, Gaubert, Bel Air Monange, Laroque, Fombrauge, Grand Corbin, Gazin, Petrus, Petit Village, Nenin… some of the most famous wines in the world. A true paradise for wine lovers! Back on board, a gala dinner will soon be waiting for you.
Day 7 – Saturday – Libourne – End of the cruise:
After your final breakfast on board, departure is scheduled between 9 and 10am. Your bus will take you back to the St. Jean station in Bordeaux. Every second week the cruise is carried out by visiting each stop in reverse order.
