Golf Cruise MS Mirabelle

From Castets-en-Dorthe to Libourne or exactly the other way around: The journey is carried out in reverse every second week.

Enjoy 6 golf courses, the wonderful wines and the entire cultural region.

Day 1 (Sunday)

Castets-en-Dorthe: departure at 3pm. In Bordeaux, at the Saint-Jean train station, you will meet the tour guide who will accompany the bus shuttle to the ship Mirabelle. After you have moved into your cabin, you can discover Castets on a short walk. A welcome cocktail awaits you before dinner. You’ll get to know the crew and the other guests. Afterwards, we serve the first dinner and you will get acquainted with the very good cuisine and the excellent wines from the region.

Day 2 (Monday-Loupiac)


Distance to the boat – Golf course 17 km / 24 minutes
Golf restaurant open for lunch.

Today you will discover a magnificent 18-hole course. Wooded, with many waters, and a par of 72. On the way back, you will pass the famous Château d’Yquem vineyard, Suduiraut Castle, Château Guiraud, Clos Haut Peyraguey and many others. After dinner on board, you can take a short walk to the Château du Cros, where the Boyer family will welcome you to a wine tasting. The Boyer has been the owner of the estate for 4 generations. 

Day 3 (Tuesday – BORDEAUX)


36 holes

Distance to the boat: 16 km / 27 minutes. The golf restaurant is open for lunch.

The place is surrounded by a 120 hectar pine forest. The Pessac course is rather flat and intermittently interrupted by water obstacles and well-designed holes. Do not lose too many punches on the wide fairways, as the greens you expect are famous all over the region for their quality. The MS Bordeaux is located in the heart of Bordeaux. UNESCO declared the well preserved old city a World Heritage Site. Today you can enjoy the many sights of one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. We have developed a nice tour for you.

Day 4 (Wednesday) Medic-Bourg


Distance to the boat: 11 km / 15 minutes.
The Brasserie du Relais de Margaux is open for lunch.

In the morning, we will sail from Bordeaux to Médoc peninsula. In the heart of the famous vineyards of Margaux and along the estuary of the Gironde, this 18-hole course is beautifully laid out on the Domaine du Relais de Margaux. The 45 hectare course harmoniously blends into a landscape that radiates peace and beauty. The place is laid out nicely: through a pine forest, then along the river and finally through a beautiful park with many and beautifully designed water obstacles. Very playable and sophisticated. This excursion in Medoc allows you to see famous castles like Margaux, Maucaillou, Poujeaux, Rauzan Ségla, Palmer, Issan, Kirwan and other Grands Crus classés. Per reservation (and speed on the green!), You have the possibility to visit a wine tasting at the Château Lamothe Bergeron, Priory Lichine, or Crus Bourgeois. In the evening, we continue our cruise Gironde to Bourg.

Day 5 (Thursday Blaye)

Two 18-hole courses Jalle and Etangs form a true green environment. With its 36 holes, these courses offer a great variety for players of all kinds. The area is famous for endless vineyards, dotted with castles, picturesque villages, and elegant monuments. After a wine tasting we will return to the Mirabelle, which will take you to Blaye and the famous citadel – which is also a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Day 6 (Friday-Libourne)


Distance to the boat – Golf course 14 km / 19 minutes

Our trip continues on the Dordogne to Libourne. Here you can visit the weekly market. The golf course of Teynac is nestled between vineyards and forests. There is a Par 68 consisting of 6 Pars 3, 8 Pars 4 and 4 Pars 5. The course is not very long, but it is hilly with wide fairways. Suitable for beginners as well as for advanced golfers. The course lies between vineyards and forests and offers 18 holes. On the way back, we will take you to the famous vineyards of Pomerol and Saint-Émilion. The town of Saint-Emilion is a particularly interesting UNESCO World Heritage site. Take your time for a sprawling walk and a unique view of the medieval streets and the surrounding vineyards, the monolithic church and the lifestyle of this special place on earth.

Don’t forget to take a look at the vineyards and Châteaus of Saint-Émilion und Pomerol, Angelus, Beauséjour, Ausone, Cheval Blanc, Dominica, Clos La Madeleine, Bel Air, Monange, Laroque, Fombrauge, Grand Corbin, Gazin, Petrus. A real paradise for winelovers. This evening, the ship will welcome you with an especially festive dinner.

Day 7 (Saturday)

LIBOURNE and the end of the cruise

After the last breakfast on board, it is time to say goodbye. You may opt to book a shuttle bus to Bordeaux. It leaves around 9am.

Rate includes: 

  • Tour and accommodation on board in the reserved category for 7 days / 6 nights (Sunday-Saturday);
  • Transfer to the golf course
  • The crew 4 – 7 people
  • Other transfers to optional visits, including 3 tickets in castles with wine tasting included
  • Full board: 7 x breakfast, 6 x lunch pack, 7 x dinner;
  • Daily cleaning of the cabin; Change of towels is possible each day;
  • Welcome concert, presentation of the boat and the crew and briefing on the first evening;
  • Captain’s cocktail at the end of the cruise.
  • Coffee and tea every day until 4pm.
  • Transfers by bus: At 2pm from the meeting point behind the train station of St. Jean in Bordeaux, to and from the ship dock

Not included:

  • rental of equipment at golf course, costs for restaurant at golf course.
  • Personal expenses and other options: entrance fees, excursions, sightseeing and wine tastings
  • Drinks on board
  • Personal insurance: travel, health, cancellation, repayment ….
  • tips (at your own discretion);
  • Special diets per request;

Optional: rental bicycles

Depending on availability, you can also rent bicycles on the way. The calculation is made directly on board of the ship.

Every second week, the route of the cruise is in reverse.
