Bordeaux is rightfully recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The list of places and hidden gems is long: enter the town through La Porte Cailhau, the royal entrance. We recommend a detailed itinerary: Bordeaux is a city that is not characterized by outstanding individual buildings, but by the grandiose, almost completely preserved old city. Worth a visit are the Capuchin Market Halls (perhaps with wine and oysters), the basilica, the Pont de Pierre, the first bridge of the city which was ordered to be built by Napoleon. You can also admire the many squares and ancient streets. In and around Bordeaux there are endless possibilities for sightseeing and shopping.
